About The Author

Tami Scripps (writing as T.J. Scripps) is a South African-born author who splits her time between Austin, Texas, and Cape Town, South Africa. She’s the author of ‘Glow in the Dark’, a middle-grade fantasy series about a girl who discovers The Aura Embassy, a magic academy in the stars where she learns to send signs from the universe to spark human auras—unleashing a battle between light and dark nobody saw coming.
An ordinary girl. A magic academy in the stars. And signs that could light up the world.
Before writing fiction, Tami worked as a film producer for her production company, Skybok, which she launched in both Cape Town and Austin. Through Skybok, she created content for global brands including the Scripps National Spelling Bee and Mercedes-Benz. She also runs the long-standing travel blog ‘The Starlit Path’, where she shares magical oddities, Renaissance fair finds, and metaphysical musings with readers around the world. Her creative work blends fantasy, folklore, and self-discovery—and she’s happiest when hunting for strange signs in strange places.
Her cosmic, empowering story helps young readers navigate challenges like bullying, anxiety and mental health—with signs from the universe offering messages in nature designed to spark hope and renewal.
“The universe is always guiding you… follow the signs!”
Tami also runs a non-profit supporting children in her hometown of Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa, keeping her closely connected to young readers whose curiosity and creativity continue to fuel her passion for storytelling.
