Glow In The Dark Books

When legendary cartoonist Guy Gilchrist (Jim Henson’s cartoonist) picks up his tools, magic happens—and this time, the magic comes in the form of a ukulele. Known for his iconic work on The Muppets, Nancy, and The Pink Panther, Guy is now handcrafting a one-of-a-kind instrument just for me. And it’s not just any design—this ukulele features Kermit the Frog riding a skateboard to the stars.

It’s an ode to the storyline of my book, Glow in the Dark: A Streak of Light, where my protagonist Ruby Diamond rides Rainbow Road to Starland, a floating school where she’s taught the secrets of the universe. Ruby’s world is all about aura power, prisms, gemstones, and the healing magic of nature’s treasures—themes that resonate deeply with the cosmic joy and wonder Guy brings to life in his art.

The alignment with The Muppets feels perfect. There’s even a song Kermit sings called ‘Rainbow Connection’—a gentle anthem about dreams, stars, and the magic that ties us all together. This ukulele, like Ruby’s journey, is a sparkling reminder that imagination, light, and hope are always worth chasing.
